Steinhart may be a fine value for money, well made quality watch but the Ocean 1 is not a Rolex Sub.
Why?
The finish and attention to detail falls way short. Five obvious examples – you can make this out on Steinharts own photos but they are very obvious in real life.
The ‘Quarter to’ baton marker does not align with second markings.
The Luminova is not accurately applied to the hour markers (not centred).
The hour markers are flat compared to the raised Sub markers. (probably about one third of the height of those on a Sub).
The centre pin to the second hand is open and not domed.
The white printing on the dial is coarse.
Admittedly these are only obvious to the sharp eyed when compared side by side to a Sub, but nevertheless you can see very quickly that they are not sub quality watches.
Guess – you pays your money….
