PuristPro recientemente ha incluido un foro para los amantes de Rolex. Me ha llamado la atencion el mensaje de inicio de uno de los miembros:
I understand that the Rolex brand easily attracts controversy and and at times some, er... rather unpalatable characters. Neverthless, leaving snobbery and nonsense aside, if there is watch that is dependable, accurate, well built, a watch that truly does what a watch ought to do, that's Rolex. When compared to any other watch, all others are a finicky and overpriced pain in the butt. For all of the prior, I congratulate The Purist for accepting Rolex in its community.
After too many years of headaches and heartbrakes with utterly undependable and plain poorly performing Patek Philippe watches, now I live at peace and very happy with a dozen Rolex which all keep time within a second a day. All fit like a million dollars on my wrist, never a problem, ready for any and all situations, and when it comes to service I have my watch back in less than eight weeks looking like the first day I bought it, no scratches, no excuses, and working like a true chronometer. What a stark difference with Patek Philippe.
I remember visiting the factories in Switzerland several years ago with DeCorte and company, and at places like Golay, for instance, where they built parts for the watch industry, everyone would attest that Rolex is the most demanding and rigorous of all factories in their production standards. Ok, so no complications, but I'd rather have a solid watch than one full of gimmicks which are called complications just to jack up the price to absurd levels. Let's be candid and clear, the watch industry people in Switzerland are laughing their way to the bank, amazed at how gullible and loose with their money people have become with the present world economic windfall.
Cuánta verdad hay en ello!!
