The 200m water resistant case is treated with Seiko's DiaShield coating on the case and bracelet. This provide scratch-protection and extra corrosion resistance. While it does not make the watch scratch resistant like Dievas and Damasko, it does reduce scratches and scuffs significantly.

The bezel rotates buttery smooth into 120 positions has minimal free play in a clockwise direction. Mixture of satin brush and Seiko high polishing on the sides can be seen on the whole watch, the Zaratsu polished line on the case side adds a touch of contemporary refinement.

The screw down crown at three o'clock is sterile. Moving to the back of the watch, the screw down case back allows 200m water resistant , and is also brushed, featuring the recognizable tsunami emblem that is staple on the other Seiko divers. The case does comes with lug holes allowing swapping of straps with ease.[/TD]

It is a beauty to look at and probably can stare at it for hours. The hands are wider and carry long-lasting Lumibrite so as to be highly legible even in dark water.

The design of the steel bracelet compliments the watch beautifully, with a seemless look and feel. The bracelet is a step above the other Prospex collection like the Sumo and Shogun. Compared to the regular flat bracelet design, the SBDC053's link has an angled design and a more solid feel overall.

Overall, the Prospex 200M Automatic Blue Ref. SBDC053 is a very worthy addition to the Prospex collection and certainly a model that will find its way into many diver watch lover's collection.

NEIN! ;-);-);-)
