Left / destro crowns make sense for left-handed people, but they are not necessarily built for that reason. Having the crown on the other side means it will not dig into your hand when bent upwards, also the chances of banging the crown when reaching for something for example is reduced as well. Lots of manufacturers have made left crowned watches. Meranom even had one a while back.
