Horomundi Exclusive! - Jaeger-LeCoultre confirms the cult "Polaris" to be re-issued in 2008!

Eagerly anticipated and widely speculated (discussed even within the Horomundi threads ), Jaeger-LeCoultre CEO Jerome Lambert confirmed officially for the first time that the cult JLC "Polaris" will be re-issued in 2008, most likely by SIHH-2008. We at Horomunedi will gradually disclose, discuss and publicise information in conjunction with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Le Club site at a suitable time-frame but meanwhile we have a few titbits exclusively (allowed) at Horomundi.

Jaeger-LeCoultre CEO Jerome Lambert. Just within 5 years, he has completely transformed the manufacture. The brand is now acknowledged to be the most innovative brand.

Note : All details are tentative and subject to change without notice.

Firstly, the re-issues will look very similar to the originals and they are designed by the highly successful in-house designer - Magali Metrailer.

More exciting is the fact that there will be 2 editions, one replicating the 1963 Polaris and the other is the reissue of the 1965 models. Since the project is a collaboration between the Manufacture and Jaeger-LeCoultre France, there should also be a special edition for the JLC boutiques in Paris and Lyon.

Please note that details are preliminary, still being discussed, and subject to change.

Tentatively there should be 2 Global edition of Stainless Steel 1963 reissue (tentatively 563 pieces) and the Platinum 1965 re-edition (tentatively 65 pieces). A special Stainless Steel version of the 1965 re-edition (tentatively 65 pieces) will also be exclusively available through JLC boutiques in France.

Personally, I am very excited with the official confirmation.

Es que mira que es diafano el diseño del Polaris. Pues verás como lo complica con lineas y colorines . Se oode que entonces no lo compro.

Pues ahora hablando en serio, yo confío en la Magali, y visto el trabajo hecho en los AMVOX básicos, creo que conseguirán mantener la sencillez del original. Otra cosa son los derroteros por los que va la línea Master Compressor/Control

Aún así, el hecho de que estas últimas líneas se estén recargando no parece influir en el resto de los modelos de la marca. Lo bonito de JLC es que lo mismo se desmarca con un Master Compresor que parece salido de un taller de tuning, como se presenta con un elegantísimo Reverso o un limpio AMVOX.

Confía en la Magali, pequeño saltamontes...

Pues si, a priori una magnifica noticia, pero veo 2 "problemas":

1. Que siendo una edicion tan limitada, mucho me temo que será casi mas económico comprarse la edicion original

2. Que digo yo para que necesitan un diseñador de ningun tipo, aunque sea una chica tan guapa, si lo unico que tienen que hacer es ALGO EXACTAMENTE IGUAL QUE EL ORIGINAL????


Bueno, en cuanquier caso, una magnñifica noticia, a ver si se animan las otras marcas que tambien compartian el diseño de esa caja tan caracteristica.

Que barbaro, justo ese reloj que comentabamos el otro dia pq. no lo reeditarian. Me alegro por todos los que puedan comprarlo pq. me imagino va a tener un precio prohibitivo.

Y cada día me toca más las narices lo de las ediciones limitadas, solo sirven para encarecer el producto y que la mayoría nos quedemos con un palmo de narices.

El reloj es precioso, equibrado, perfecto...Confío en que la chica esta, tan refinada y guapa se quede en casa haciendo algo útil el día que haya que decidir no tocar el diseño del reloj original. Es un reloj muy especial.

gran noticia si señor, aunque EMHO demasiado limitada para demanda que seguro tiene, disparará los precios, ya de por si seguro que muy altos, enseguida. Aun asi, habrá que ver que pasa...
