Ti arrived, # 247/600. At the time it was the only option available to me, which was fine as I have a blue SS 50th anniversary with 3-6-9-12 so a little dial variety is good. I decided to show both side by side for comparison purposes.
Ti is on the left. For me, the blue of the dials is pretty close, maybe the same? Heard that the blue dial on the new bronzes is darker. The brushing on the front of the Ti is more subtle.
.
.
Ti on the left, different lume color obviously. Too lazy to take another reading and I thought it looked pretty cool anyway
Similar but not exact back:
.
.
Different clasps, the titanium on the right has a diving extension and different engravings:
.
The sides of the case and bracelet are polished in SS, brushed in Ti:
.
The locking hardware is thicker and stronger on the Ti (above):
.
Another thing, the weight. My SS is 185g and Ti's is 140g. That's roughly a 25% weight reduction. It's not huge, but I'll accept it.
I love it, of course, but I love the 1967 one in general. If you already have the blue 50 it might be a tough decision for some to get the Ti as they look very similar to the naked eye. For me, there are enough differences to justify it: the lume, the case back, the clasp, the finish, the weight, the hour markers (on mine), and the material itself. Happy to answer any question.
