Russian movements were often introduced with a pretty name, like Molnia (=lightning).
Later the movements got number codes which are often misinterpreted as calibre designation. Actually the first pair of digits indicate the diameter im millimeters (36mm here), the second the main features, e.g. 02 for manual wind with sub second and without shock devices, or 03 for the same with shock devices.
While other movements got suffixes like 1, 2 or H, 2H (for new and even newer), the designations for this long line of movements remained unchanged, although many modifications were applied. Even the older 3.5mm high variants and the newer with 4.65mm got no different designations, although they have almost no common parts.
Also the character of the designation Molnia changed with time. First it was a calibre name, which is also written on the older variants made by the 2nd Watch Factory (brand Slava); accordingly these variants are occasionally called Slava 3602. When production was tranfered to the Chelyabinsk Watch Factory the designation remained, but extended with 3602. Molnia alone became a model name for watches with this movement. Later Molnia was registered as trademark of the Chelyabinsk Watch Factory, and the movements got the Molnia logo, a dial with hands.
Unfortunately different sources give scarcely consistent informations about the evolution of these movements. This archive therefore restricts to existing samples, their features, and production periodes, as far as can be taken from signatures and informations from first owners. The respective signatures are translated. This should do for a first estimation and for successful sourcing of spare parts.

Los primeros 2 dígitos (36 para los suyos) son el tamaño del diámetro del movimiento, en mm.
Últimos significados de 2 dígitos:
01: antichoque, pero sin segundero
02: segundero en subdial, sin antichoque
03: segundero en subdial, con antichoque
El número de rubíes no es importante para decidir el código de movimientos; y los movimientos de Molnjia tienen una variedad de rubíes: no solo 15, sino también 8 o 7.

Yo tambien soy admirador de los molnija, el 4k-6 copia casi perfecta de un cortebert-rolex, lo que en si mismo ya es una señal de que la arquitectura de estos movimientos tienen origen suizo y por lo tanto calidad en su diseño.
Creo que a nivel materiales hay algo de merma frente a los de su origen suizo, pero la exactitud es magnifica, bien ajustados mantienen el tiempo con bastante precision.
No serian unos calibres de muy bella factura ni de excelsos materiales de fabricacion pero si son una parte muy significativa de la relojeria sovietica.

Yo pienso que más que una copia fue una adquisición de patentes, (como hizo Rolex que suministró a los primeros Panerai en mismo calibre) como hicieron con otros calibres y sinceramente los de 1ª generación si que están muy bien construidos cuidando el detalle al máximo y muy decorados. No en vano, en base a este calibre, los soviéticos desarrollaron su primer crono manufactura, destinado para su armada. Estos dos son de mi pequeña colección. Referente al comentario de Cesc creo que se confunde de calibre con el conteo de Rubíes que haría mención a los Type 1, calibre comprado junto con sus fábricas a la norteamericana Hampden.

Trío de Molnijas muy bonitos. Yo solo tengo uno y ando buscando uno baratito como el tuyo saboneta con corona a las tres. Estos andan muy perseguidos por gente que, como yo, busca este calibre para meterlo en una caja (chinorra) tipo radiomir y hacerse con un bello reloj de pulsera.
