www.clockswatches.com A Pattens Clock Repairs Website Charles Davidson was recorded as working in London from at least 1775 to at least 1814. A search of the Internet mentions a watch hallmarked 1814 by Charles Davidson of London. However, I cannot find this maker listed in any of my current trade directories for that period in London.

A Silver pair-cased pocket watch signed Chas Davidson, London No. ?033. The watch has a verge escapement and is driven by a fusee and chain. The silver case is hallmarked London 1802 with the makers mark of EL (Edward Leeming who was recorded at 30 Monkwell Street, London in 1800). The watch is missing the minute hand. The watch papers shown are from inside the watch and shows that the owner lived near Colchester, Essex and it was repaired several times by watch repairers in the town.
