The figures are in, and last year, the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) issued 1,174,227 certificates, or 7.7% more than in 2004.

The number of registered pieces rose by 7.4% to 1,222,396 (1,168,046 in the mechanical category, +5.7%, and 54,350 in the quartz category, +64.6%).

It is interesting to note also that of the 53,329 certificates for quartz chronometers, 52,740 were awarded to Breitling products.

In terms of manufacturers, there is again no change to the top three rankings, which have not changed in recent years. They stand at:

Me han sorprendido dos cosas: 1.- La cifra bestial de Rolex y 2.- Breitling: Pensaba que realizaba menos certificaciones y está no muy lejos de otro titán como Omega.

A partir de una fecha dweterminada, todos los modelos de Breitling salen con el certificado.
