Reply from DOXA

Dear members, Let me start by explaining the difference between a fake, clone and a Hommage;
Reproducing clones of watch models that are out of production is sometimes considered legitimate and this what could be referred to as a "Hommage", but copying existing watch designs is prohibited by federal laws of the USA and the EU, in some countries, even their possession is illegal, I am not referring to DOXA here but to examples like LV® or Rolex® and all the other brands who contributed to fighting clones in the western world over the past years.
DOXA is not affected, or yet not affected by the appearance of a clone on the market. Clones might or might not dilute the brand's value, but they definitely harm those who spend money buying the authentic product. As we all know Rolex's® first clone was a Bulova®, not a bad watch either, over the past years you were able to buy a $10.00 clones of Rolexes® everywhere, until international laws have started fighting clones and have gotten more ad more restrictive on them. Like any brand, DOXA will be forced to fight this attitude over the next years.
So please refrain from further promoting DOXA clones on the official DOXA forum as this will force us to remove the posts in order to comply with eventual litigations in the future.
Finally, Buying replicas it is not about money, it is an attitude, it is human, and we must respect it, but we kindly ask those who buy clones, not necessarily DOXA clone only, to celebrate their purchase anywhere on the WUS but not on the official DOXA forum.
Please note that this is not a discussion thread, the implications of the matter could be very serious for the parties involved, so the thread will be closed here to avoid any further complications.
DOXA
.
Saludos
